It’s never fun to report on these stories and Saturday we have to. Club 33 administrator Bonnye Lear tragically died after falling from a moving golf cart and hitting her head in a backstage area at the Disneyland Resort.
According to the OC Register, Bonnye Mavis Lear, 60, of Fullerton, died on Friday, June 7, according to Orange County Coroner spokesperson Sgt. Frank Gonzalez. Lear fell off the moving golf cart and struck her head on Wednesday and was immediately transported to the hospital. Anaheim police detectives are investigating the traffic collision.
Club 33 cast members were said to be terribly upset when they learned of Lear’s passing. Lear was worked for the Disneyland resort for two and half decades.
“We are heartbroken by the loss of Bonnye and offer our sincere condolences to everyone who cared for her,” Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock said in a statement. “At this time, we are focused on supporting her family and our cast members through this tragic event and making sure they have the resources they need.”
