We are sad to report that Jon Landau, the legendary producer behind Titanic and the Avatar series has passed away. This, according to multiple reports.
He was 63 years old. Per Variety, he died from cancer.
His death was first revealed by Titanic star Frances Fisher Friday evening on Twitter.
Landau may have been known for his incredibly successful relationship with James Cameron, however, over the course of his long Hollywood career he collaborated with Robert Rodriguez on Alita: Battle Angel. He also helped produce Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and Dick Tracy.
