One of Hollywood’s most biggest leading men (with arguable one of the coolest names) had died. Val Kilmer passed away in his home on Tuesday. His daughter first confirmed the sad news to the NY Times.
The cause of death was pneumonia. Kilmer had previously suffered from throat cancer but recovered in 2014. His battle with the disease – and life behind the camera – can be seen documented in the 2019 documentary Val.
During his time in Hollywood, Kilmer appeared in dozens of films. However, his most iconic ones include Doc Holliday in Clint Eastwood’s Tombstone and Batman in the Joel Schumacher’s Batman Forever.
He also delivered unforgettable performances in Lucasfilm’s Willow, Michael Mann’s Heat, and Shane Black’s Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
Kilmer was 65.
