Venom Confirmed To Appear In New ‘Spider-Man’ Series

On top of revealing that Norman Osborn would be voiced by Colman Domingo in the upcoming animated Spider-Man series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Marvel Animation dropped another major bombshell.

During its presentation at D23, it was revealed that Venom would make his debut in the series! That’s not all!

According to footage screened at the event, Peter Parker will inherit his abilities after a multiversal interaction with Doctor Strange and Venom. The two characters will be fighting and wind up in Peter’s world. The radioactive spider that traditionally bites Peter will also enter this world during this fight.

Now, at this time it’s unclear if the version of Venom that will appear is the same one from Sony’s live-action films, but regardless this will mark the first time that the two characters cross paths since Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3.

The series, which will follow Peter Parker in his early days as Spider-Man was also announced nearly three years ago – and originally titled Spider-Man: Freshman Year. It’s finally set to premiere on Disney+ this November. So it’s no surprise that it will be headlining this panel. We’re just curious if this will be where the first trailer will be unveiled.
