A few months back, there was rumblings that a sequel to the horror hit Ready or Not was in the works. Today, the news was confirmed.
Star Samara Weaving is returning, as is Radio Silence the collective that includes Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett and Chad Villella. Additionally, Tripp Vinson, Bradley J. Fischer, William Sherak and James Vanderbilt are returning as producers. Villella and Tara Farney will executive produce.
Released in 2019 and directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (2/3 of Radio Silence, the first film follows a young bride (Weaving) who is hunted by her spouse’s wealthy Satan-worshipping family as part of a wedding night ritual. The film also starred Andie MacDowell, Adam Brody, Mark O’Brien, Melanie Scrofano, Henry Czerny and Elyse Levesque
The film was a box office success, grossing $57.6 million worldwide against a $6 million budget. It was nominated for Best Horror Film at the 46th Saturn Awards.
