Storm To Make Her MCU Debut In Season 3 Of Marvel’s ‘What If…’

There were a lot of major announcements revealed at D23 Brasil this weekend, but in terms of Marvel news there might not be anything bigger than this.

During Saturday’s Marvel panel another sneak peak was shown of the upcoming third season of the animated multiverse series What If…

In it, a few more hypothetical storyline concepts were revealed. One of those showed the mutant Storm wielding Mjolnir!

Now, at first glance, this may not be the most groundbreaking “What If…” scenario, since many other heroes have wielded the hammer before in the comics. However, considering that the character has not been introduced in the MCU yet, this is a big deal.

So far, the only X-Men that have canonically made the jump are Professor X and Wolverine in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Deadpool and Wolverine respectively.

Could this mean that we will see more and more mutants make the jump into the Sacred Timeline soon? We’ll just have to see.

While not confirmed, it’s worth pointing out that Nexus Point News reported that Alison Sealy-Smith, who voices the character in X-Men ’97, would reprise the role in Season 3 of “What If…” a whole day before this news was revealed.
