A recent study has found that Zootopia 2 is the most anticipated film set to debut in 2025.
The research, carried out by the sports betting platform GamingToday.com, examined over 55 films scheduled for release in 2025. The ranking of the most anticipated movies was determined by analyzing the global average monthly Google search volume over the past 12 months leading up to January 2025.

Zootopia 2 leads the list with an impressive 290,000 average monthly searches. This highly anticipated Disney animated sequel, following the beloved 2016 original, is set to hit theaters on November 26. The story reunites fans with Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they go undercover in Marsh Market to unravel a case that leads them on the trail of a mysterious reptile.
Meanwhile, Disney/Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World secures the fifth spot with 182,000 searches and is expected to premiere on February 14. Rounding out the top 10 for the House of Mouse is Thunderbolts at 6.
Notable Disney films missing from the list that has topped other studies include Snow White, Lilo & Stitch, Fantastic Four, Tron: Ares, and Avatar: Fire and Ash.
