Yesterday, it was announced that Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas would be returning to Disney in a new Christmas movie for Disney+.
The project titled Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie will follow the trio as they travel from London to New York to spend Christmas with their family, only to bump into a “series of obstacles” along the way.
Now, According to Variety, Chloe Bennet has joined the film. She will play Joe Jonas’ love interest Lucy, is a cardiothoracic surgeon and childhood friend of Joe’s. Sparks fly when they bump into each other at the airport.
Oscar-winning director Jessica Yu (Quiz Lady) is set to helm the Jonas Brothers’ upcoming Christmas movie, a production from Disney Branded Television and 20th Television. The script is penned by Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger, who are also producing the film alongside the Jonas Brothers, Adam Fishbach, Spencer Berman, and Scott Morgan. Grammy-nominated songwriter Justin Tranter will take on the role of executive music producer, crafting original songs for the project.
As for Bennet, she is know stranger to working with The Walt Disney Company herself, she played Daisy Johnson aka Skye/Quake in the ABC/Marvel television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and voiced her in Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors. She also played Hailey in 7 episodes of Nashville and voiced Swifty in Jake and the Never Land Pirates and Chase in Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast. For FX, she played Robyn in Dave, and for Hulu, she played Detective Lana Lee in Interior Chinatown.
