‘Mufasa’ to Hit Disney+ on March 26

Streaming audiences worldwide can soon enjoy the thrilling adventure, memorable music, and stunning visuals of Mufasa: The Lion King repeatedly when it arrives on Disney+ on March 26.

Directed by Academy Award® winner Barry Jenkins, the film features brand-new songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, including the hit track “I Always Wanted a Brother.” With a global box office haul exceeding $700 million, Mufasa: The Lion King became one of the top 10 highest-grossing films of 2024.

The movie has received widespread praise from both critics and audiences, being described as “adventurous” (Brian Truitt, USA Today), a “dazzling musical” (Kevin Maher, The Times), and “visually stunning” (Pete Hammond, Deadline Hollywood). Now streaming exclusively on Disney+, the film joins other classics from the beloved franchise, including The Lion King (1994), The Lion King (2019), The Lion Guard, and the recent The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl concert special.

Through March 30, new and eligible returning subscribers can take advantage of a special offer for the Disney+, Hulu Bundle Basic at just $2.99 per month for four months—a savings of $32 compared to the standard monthly price over that period. Visit www.disneyplus.com for more details.
