SEE IT: Marvel Unveils Initial Cast List For ‘Avengers: Doomsday’

As production on Avengers: Doomsday begins today in United Kingdom, Marvel Studios has revealed the film’s cast. Whether or not you think this is the full cast list, however, is entirely up to you…

Over the course of a 5-hour livestream, the names of several actors appeared on individual chairs.

Some names were bigger surprises than others. For example, the last name revealed just so happened to be the first big name announced at this past summer’s San Diego Comic Con: Robert Downey Jr.

Likewise with the cast of Fantastic Four: The First Steps and Thunderbolts*.

So fans should expect to see:

• Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom
• Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards
• Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm
• Ebon Moss-Bacharach as Ben Grimm/The Thing
• Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm
• Florence Pugh as Yelena Bolova
• Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes
• Wyatt Russell as John Walker
• Lewis Pullman as Bob
• David Harbour as Red Guardian
• Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost

Other actors/Avengers who will be returning include:

• Chris Hemsworth as Thor
• Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America
• Letitia Wright as Shuri/Black Panther
• Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man
• Simu Liu as Shang-Chi

Reutrning supporting cast members and sidekicks include:

• Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/Falcon
• Tenoch Huerta Mejia as Namor the Sub-Mariner
• Winston Duke as M’Baku

The biggest surprises came towards the end of the livestream though, as it was revealed that several characters who played X-Men in the defunct Fox universe would be returning too! They include:

• Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier
• Sir Ian McKellen as Magneto
• Kelsey Grammer as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast
• Alan Cumming as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler
• Rebecca Romijn as Mystique
• James Marsden as Scott Summers/Cyclops
• Channing Tatum as Remy LeBeau/Gambit

Despite sealing his own fate at the end of the second season of his titular series, it was revealed that Tom Hiddleston will be returning as Loki too!

Notably missing from the roster was Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, Deadpool, Wolverine and the Hulks – despite recent leaks. That leads us to believe that there are still many more surprises to come.
