Toy Story 5 will be directed by Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo) and hits theaters next June!
Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Annie Potts, and Tony Hale are expected to return alongside newcomers Conan O’Brien, Greta Lee and Craig Robinson!
As previously revealed at D23, the film will be about “toy vs tech.” It will see all of the classic toys reunite to try and deal with a new common enemy, technology. Without giving too much away, Docter said that, despite being separated from the group in the last film, Woody would be still be back for this film’s adventure, and that the toys will find a way to bring him back into Bonnie’s room to help deal with this new crisis. The whole idea behind this film is how toys can really act as a child’s parent, impacting how they interact and who they become.
