Disneyland Resort Reveals Frightfully Fun Halloween Season Details for Fall Fans

The spooky season is almost here, and Disneyland Resort is preparing to transform into the ultimate Halloween destination once again.

Disney has officially announced the return of Halloween Time and Plaza de la Familia, bringing fan-favorite entertainment, seasonal overlays, festive décor, specialty treats, and plenty of Disney magic to guests this fall. Halloween Time will take over Disneyland Resort from late August through Halloween, while Plaza de la Familia will once again celebrate the spirit of Día de los Muertos at Disney California Adventure. As guests enter Disneyland Park, they’ll once again be greeted by the iconic giant Mickey Mouse pumpkin on Main Street, U.S.A., while thousands of pumpkins and autumn decorations transform the resort into a picture-perfect fall wonderland. Signature Halloween touches including seasonal lighting, themed character encounters, and spooky atmosphere throughout the parks are expected to return. (Disney Parks Blog)

One of the biggest draws of the season remains Haunted Mansion Holiday, the beloved seasonal overlay inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The attraction brings together Halloween and Christmas in a unique Disneyland tradition that has become a must-do experience for many guests. (Visit Anaheim)

Over at Disney California Adventure, guests can once again experience Plaza de la Familia, the annual celebration inspired by Pixar’s Coco. The limited-time event honors the bonds of family and the traditions of Día de los Muertos through entertainment, themed food offerings, colorful décor, and cultural experiences that have become a seasonal favorite. Halloween also means the return of Oogie Boogie Bash, Disneyland Resort’s wildly popular after-hours Halloween event. The separately ticketed party has become one of the most sought-after events of the year, featuring immersive treat trails, rare character appearances, exclusive entertainment, and villain encounters throughout Disney California Adventure. Families can also expect special Halloween-themed entertainment, seasonal character costumes, attraction overlays, festive merchandise, and a lineup of spooky snacks and treats that have become a major part of the Disneyland Halloween tradition. (Disney Parks Blog)

With Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration still underway, this year’s Halloween season promises to blend classic fall favorites with the excitement of the resort’s historic milestone year, giving guests even more reasons to visit during one of the most popular times on the Disneyland calendar.
