August 23, 1986: The U.S. Senate passes a bill, Public Law 99-391, designating December 5, 1986 as “Walt Disney Recognition Day.” Happy 40th anniversary!

August 24, 2001: Bubble Boy is released in theaters. Happy 25th anniversary!

August 25, 2006: Invincible is released in theaters. Happy 20th anniversary!

August 26, 2003: Stitch! the Movie is released on home video.

August 27, 1964: Mary Poppins is released in theaters.

August 28, 2020: Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against The Universe debuts on Disney+

August 29, 2019: Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disney Hollywood Studios.

Brief thoughts: 40 years ago, the U.S. Senate passed a law that create a day recognized Walt Disney’s outstanding achievements to the world on entertainment and theme parks. It is indeed to remember how joy that he and his company have brought to billions of people around the world.
