This week, we watched One Man Band, Cars, and Mater and the Ghostlight. One Man Band is a short about competition in the music industry. Well, kind of. Really what it is about is how the love of money can overtake all reasoning and force you to do whatever it takes to get said money.

This week, we watched the short Boundin’, feature film The Incredibles, and the home video shorts Jack-Jack Attack and Mr. Incredible and Pals.  Boundin’, the short that accompanied The Incredibles in theaters, is one of the most mediocre Pixar shorts I have seen. Granted, I have not watched all of them, but I found this one fairly disappointing.

This week, we watched Pixar’s fifth feature film, Finding Nemo, along with Exploring the Reef, which is found on the home video release. Finding Nemo is one of Pixar’s greatest hits, not to mention one of the most beloved children’s films of all time. Released in 2002, Finding Nemo has gone on to become the

This week, we watched the short For the Birds, the film Monsters, Inc. and the home video short Mike’s New Car. For the Birds is a short about cliques and what happens when an outsider tries to enter the group. Of course, rather than humans, the characters are birds. It is a solid short which,

This week, we watched the 1997 short Geri’s Game as well as Pixar’s second feature film A Bug’s Life. Geri’s Game is a charming story about an old man and his chess game at the park. However, his game is different than most because he is playing against his worst enemy: himself. This clever little

This week, we looked at the first Pixar feature ever made, as well as the commercials that aired on TV to win over audiences to see this new film. Toy Story was, and always will be, one of the most ambitious films ever made. Sure, Pixar had proved themselves capable with the 5 short films

For this first week of our viewing, we looked at Pixar before their first feature film. The first five shorts that the company made were crucial to their success and showed investors such as Steve Jobs the potential of computer animation in the industry. The first of these five shorts is titled The Adventures of

2019 is going to be a huge year for Disney. We are getting reimagining’s for several classic Disney films, the conclusion of the Star Wars trilogy, and the end of the Avengers as we know it. However, we are also getting a Pixar film long in development: Toy Story 4. This movie takes us back

This November Pixar Animation will release their nineteenth full length feature, Coco. The film is being met with high expectation and skepticism. This has been par for the course for Pixar as of late. This past summer Cars 3 did well among critics, but suffered at the box office in large part due to Cars
