While fans eagerly await the third season of The Mandalorian, according to a new production listing filming on a fourth season could be starting very soon.

In the latest issue of Production Weekly, they have listed season 4 of The Mandalorian with filming expected to begin next month in Los Angeles. While Production Weekly isn’t an official studio source for this stuff, they are more accurate than not when it comes to production information.

Back in May, Jon Favreau revealed that he is writing the fourth season of the mega-hit. “With television, we’re very lucky that we don’t have to rush things through into an hour-and-a-half, two hours. We get to tell stories slowly. So now, as Dave [Filoni]’s doing Ahsoka, it’s very much informing the writing that I’m doing for [The Mandalorian] Season 4. It becomes – how should I put it – more precise.”

Season 3 is set to debut on Disney+ in February 2023, so if the production date is accurate it is likely season 4 will aim for an early 2024 debut on the streamer.

The Mandalorian and Grogu are reunited and continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire. The series will see returning actors Giancarlo Esposito, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, and Taika Waititi. Newcomers to the cast include Christopher Lloyd and Jim O’Heir.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian is executive produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson.
