Giancarlo Esposito, the man in Moff Gideon’s black cape, told fans in San Antonio, “You’ll be amazed!”
The most underrated character in the Mandoverse may be Giancarlo Esposito’s alter ego, Moff Gideon. But the man behind the myth isn’t underrated. Especially when talking Star Wars. So, this past weekend at a Texas comic con, Esposito spoke briefly about the upcoming Season 3 of The Mandalorian, and fans of The Saga in San Antonio took notice.

Thanks to our Star Wars News Net friends, we’re also taking note. Earlier today, Miguel Fernandez posted Esposito’s comments along with the first-person source – TikTok!
In a moment captured in a TikTok video included below, Esposito said that the chances of Gideon returning in a future season of The Mandalorian are very high, adding the following:
“I got to tell you, just to share something with you without spoiling anything. Season 3 of The Mandalorian is off the chain! You’ll be amazed!”

In Season 3, expected in the first quarter of 2023, The Mandalorian, Din Djarin, and The Child, Grogu, continue their journey through the turbulent times following the events of Return of the Jedi. The found family already encountered Luke Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Boba Fett, and the remanents of The Galatic Empire; meanwhile, Djarin finds himself in a power struggle surrounding the legendary Dark Saber – taken from Moff Gideon in combat and desired by the would-be queen of Mandalore, Bo Katan.
SWNN.com’s Fernandez added:

Carl Weathers, who is both a director and an actor in the new season, praised how layered the actual storytelling is, while Pedro Pascal called it even better than season 2… The trailer shown at Star Wars Celebration already hinted at an even larger scale than ever before, and it looks like they are acting on that.
