Earlier this year it was announced that actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was attached to star in The Jungle Cruise based on the classic Disneyland attraction. Not much information has been released since, until today.
Deadline is reporting that Non-Stop and The Shallows director Jaume Collet-Serra will helm Jungle Cruise! The film is being written by Star Trek Beyond writers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay and is based on the classic theme park attraction that takes guests on a guided tour through the rivers around the world.
Collet-Serra was previously the frontrunner to helm Suicide Squad 2, though exited to direct Jungle Cruise; which will begin production late next spring.
What do you think of Jaume Collet-Serra directing Disney’s Jungle Cruise? Let me know in the comments!
