John Kani To Voice Rafiki In The LION KING Remake!

Today The Wrap has reported that John Kani, known mostly for his role as the King of Wakanda, T’Chaka, in Captain America: Civil War, will be playing Rafiki in Jon Favreau’s live-action remake of the Lion King. Rafiki the baboon, is most notably in the movie presenting a new-born Simba, to a gathering of animals, and being a wise mentor to the Lion.

The cast of the film includes Donald Glover as Simba, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen as Timon and Pumbaa, and John Oliver as Zazu. The movie is set to be released July 19, 2019.
