The live action Dumbo has been in production for almost a month now, and the film is continuing to add talent to its already stellar cast.
Deadline is reporting Z Nation and Star Trek: Into Darkness actor Joseph Gatt has been cast. Gatt will play the character of Skellig. Not much is known about the character but is to believed to be a circus performer.
Gatt joins an all star cast including Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Danny DeVito, and Michael Keaton, with Tim Burton directing.
The film will follow Farrell’s former circus owner Holt, the father of the two children who develop a friendship with the lovable elephant, Dumbo, after seeing him at the circus. Circus owner Max Medici (DeVito) enlists Holt to care for Dumbo, whose oversize ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when Holt’s children discover that Dumbo can fly, big top circus owner V.A. Vandevere (Keaton) and trapeze artist Colette Marchant (Green) swoop in to make the newborn elephant a star.
The film also stars DeObia Oparei, Nico Parker, Finley Hobbins, Roshan Seth, Sharon Rooney and Douglas Reith. Here’s the official synopsis.
Dumbo hits theaters March 29, 2019.
