EXCLUSIVE: Story Details On Disney’s PRINCE CHARMING

A little over a year ago it was announced that Disney was in development on a live-action adaptation of Prince Charming with Matt Fogel writing the initial script, with Wonder director Stephen Chbosky helming the project. Now we have exclusive story details to share with you.

The film will follow Prince Charming’s twin brother, who must take over his brothers identity and team up with Snow White to save Princess Rosebud and his own kingdom from the evil King Anatgony (name could change). Along the way Charming will learn how to find and accept ones own true identity.

The film is expected to have the tone of the highly successful Pirates Of The Caribbean films.  No word yet on if this film will have any connection to Disney’s other live-action fairy-tale in development Rose Red, which follows Snow White’s sister. Prince Charming will not have any connection to Disney’s 2015 hit film Cinderella.

Chbosky is currently rewriting the films script. Chbosky also wrote Disney’s box office smash hit remake of Beauty And The Beast, which grossed over $1.2 billion at the worldwide box office. Chbosky will be re-teaming with Wonder producers David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman who are producing Charming along with Tripp Vinson (San Andreas, Rose Red).

There is currently no release date for Prince Charming.

  • Charming twin brother taking his place? They’ve been watching too many episodes of OUAT, lol!

If the villain is named Antagony, then I like it, the name I mean.
