Just last week it was reported both Justin Theroux and Ashley Jensen joined the voice cast of Disney’s live-action/CGI remkae of Lady And The Tramp. Well now you can add Sam Elliot’s name to the mix.
According to ThatHashtagShow, Elliot will voice Trusty, a loyal police dog. The studio is currently looking to cast for Lady. We can tell you exclusively that the studio had made an offer to Captain America himself Chris Evans but passed.
Charlie Bean, who directed The Lego Ninjago Movie (which also starred Theroux), is attached to direct. Brigham Taylor, who worked on the studio’s remake of The Jungle Book and Christopher Robin and currently working on The One And Only Ivan, is producing the project, Andrew Bujalski penned the script.
Disney already has a lot of content in development for the streaming service including live-action remakes of Sword In The Stone, as well as Noelle starring Anna Kendrick, Magic Camp starring Adam Devine, Stargirl, 3 Men And A Baby, Don Quixote, Timmy Failure, The Paper Magician, and Togo.
