This week, we watched the second and final season of the Cars Toons, this one titled Tales from Radiator Springs. This consisted of four episodes which I will discuss briefly below.
Hiccups– In this episode, we learn that hiccups are not only contagious but also apparently can be cured with a single kiss.
Bugged– This episode has bug flies bugging Red as he is watering flowers.
Spinning– This episode shows us that Guido is a very talented sign spinner.
The Radiator Springs 500 1/2– In this final entry, we learn that the Stanley, the town founder, was a pretty tough guy.
The first three Cars Toons are extremely short, about ninety seconds each. However, The Radiator Springs 500 1/2 is longer, clocking in at about six minutes. A fifth Cars Toon was announced, called To Protect and Serve, but was never released. I would not be surprised if it shows up on Disney+ at some point in the future. These shorts are enjoyable, but not particularly necessary unless you are a hardcore Cars fan.
Next week, we will be watching Lava, Inside Out, and Riley’s First Date.
Happy watching!
