‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy’ Series In The Works At Hulu

The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy is coming back in the form of a series on Hulu.

According to Deadline, the project will come from ABC Studios’ cable/streaming division, ABC Signature, where Cuse’s Genre Arts production company has an overall deal. The series will come from showrunner Carlton Cuse and feature writer Jason Fuchs.

Cuse and Fuchs will also write the new series and serve as executive producers. Lindsey Springer, President of Genre Arts, will also be executive producing alongside Cuse and Fuchs.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is a comedy science fiction series created by Douglas Adams. Originally a radio comedy broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in 1978, and is centered on “the intergalactic adventures of Arthur Dent, a hapless Englishman, following the destruction of the Earth by the Vogons, a race of unpleasant and bureaucratic aliens.”

The sci-fi adventure was later adapted to other formats, including stage shows, novels, comic books, a 1981 TV series, a 1984 video game, and 2005 a feature film released by Disney.
