In 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok one of the new characters featured Korg – played by director Taika Waititi quickly became a fan favorite, the character would also briefly appear in Avengers: Endgame.
Now thanks to a new report from our friends at HN Entertainment, they have learned Korg will have a larger role in the fourth film in the Thor franchise, Thor: Love and Thunder.
This is certainly great news, Waititi is known for putting himself in his films, as he did in What We Do In The Shadows, Hunt For The Wilderpeople, and his upcoming film Jojo Rabbit, which is being released through Disney’s Fox Searchlight on October 18th.
Director Taika Waititi returns alongside stars Chris Hemsworth as the titular character, Tessa Thompson as Valkryie, and Natalie Portman, as Jane Foster, who will become the Goddess of Thunder. It is possible we will see Korg’s friend and roommate Miek too, but that has not been confirmed at this time.
Thor: Love and Thunder will begin production next year after Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in at Fox Studios in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.. The film is set to hit theaters on November 5, 2021.
