“Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance” First Look Revealed

At the parks panel at the D23 Expo this last weekend, a trailer for the new land Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was shown which featured new footage for the upcoming ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Today, the first look at this new ride was officially revealed by Disney Parks.

This exciting new adventure will open on December 5, 2019 at Hollywood Studios in Florida and January 17, 2020 at Disneyland. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will put you in the middle of a battle between the Resistance and the First Order. Led by Resistance fighter Vi Moradi, the journey begins with you, the rider, on a mission to help the Resistance, and meet Leia Organa at a rendezvous point. However, when Kylo Ren and the  First Order get involved, this mission becomes much more difficult.

This is described by Disney Parks Blog as “one of the most ambitious, advanced and immersive experiences ever undertaken by Walt Disney Imagineering”.

We will continue to update and report on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance as more details are revealed.
