Emma Stone On ‘Cruella’ Set With Bright Red Hair

Brand new set photos for Disney’s Cruella shows the films titular star Emma Stone rocking some bright red hair, which is far from the iconic black and white look.

The photos were taken on Saturday during the films production in London England, which started last weekend. Stone was taking a break in between filming and somehow ended up with a slice of banana on her face. Unclear if the banana is a key part of the upcoming 101 Dalmatians prequel, lol.

It should be noted, that even though Emma Stone has red locks in these set photos and it is possible she could don the look throughout the film, we already know thanks to the first look reveal for the film at the D23 Expo we will see Stone rocking the classic Cruella de Vil look.

Directed by Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya), the film centered on classic Disney villain Cruella De Vil’s origins in 1970’s punk rock London, is also set to star Emma Thompson (Saving Mr. Banks), Paul Walter Hauser (Blackkklansman), and Joel Fry (Yesterday).

Cruella will hit theaters on May 28, 2021.

Given the time frame (Punk rock London around 1977) and that Glen Close is involved as executive producer, you think Cruella could be a direct prequel to 1996 movie?
