Marvel Studios’ Disney+ Series ‘Moon Knight’ Looking For Jewish Zac Efron-Type For Lead Role

The casting search for Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight series coming to Disney+ is underway, and the studio already has an idea on who they want to play the title character. According to Geeks WorldWide, the studio is looking for a “Zac Efron-type,” and preferably someone of Israeli descent to play Moon Knight. Efron himself is of course Jewish, and has precious working relationship with Disney, playing Troy Bolton in the Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical, and it’s two sequels. Efron was also in the running to play Ikaris in the Eternals before Richard Madden was cast. Moon Knight follows Marc Spector a man who’s been shattered into 4 separate identities who come together to become the hooded crusader of vengeance: The Moon Knight.
