Lucasfilm joins forces with eight of the world’s most iconic brands to reveal first-look at Babu Frik

Brands include United Airlines, McDonald's and Samsung Mobile

Lucasfilm has announced that they are joining forces with eight of the world’s most iconic brands for the launch of a MASSIVE global promotional campaign in support of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, flying into theaters of Earth on December 20.

The eight brands are Porsche, Bose, United Airlines, General Electric, McDonald’s, Samsung Mobile,  General Mills, and Dannon.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the ninth episode in the Skywalker saga and the concluding chapter in this iconic series after over 40 years of storytelling.

To celebrate the film’s release, Lucasfilm and the film’s eight promotional partners have joined forces (get it?) via a coordinated social moment to reveal the first look at new character Babu Frik.

The tiny – and kind of adorable – droidsmith, first glimpsed in toy form during the Triple Force Friday livestream event, works among the Spice Runners of Kijimi and can reprogram or modify virtually any droid, regardless of the security measures protecting its systems.

The social moment consisted of the eight brands posting a piece of the exclusive image to their social handles that then drove fans to the Star Wars Blog to see the full image (pictured above).

The brands are also teaming up to offer fans the chance to enter an exciting sweepstakes. The sweepstakes winner will be among the first to see the film at the World Premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, as well as receive a pair of already sold-out Jedi Master ticket packages to Star Wars Celebration 2020! To see the new image, and for official rules and how to enter the sweepstakes, go to
