Robert Downey Jr. to Voice Iron Man in ‘What If’ Series

November 15, 2019

Robert Downey Jr. is making a comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

When asked by BuzzFeed if he would return in Thor: Love and Thunder, Jeff Goldblum not only revealed he had recorded lines as the Grandmaster for the Disney+ What If…? series, but so had Downey.

…This episode included the Grandmaster and Iron Man. So Robert Downey [Jr.] will do a voice in that. And Korg, Taika Waititi, had already recorded his voice for that.

What If…? is a limited animated Disney+ series that will explore alternate scenarios from the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. The voice cast includes a majority of the MCU’s actors such as Hayley Atwell, Michael Douglas, Josh Brolin, Tom Hiddleston, and Samuel L. Jackson. It’s expected to debut in 2021.
