Exciting Enhancements Coming to Disneyland Resort in 2020

The Disneyland Resort has recently announced that their Imagineers are revamping Snow White’s Scary Adventures, Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, along with transforming the entrance of our pathway to the future, Tomorrowland.

According to the Disney Parks Blog, the classic attraction Snow White’s Scary Adventures is enhancing new details to her story

new vignette will show Snow White in a beautiful forest setting waking up from her deep sleep. Also, the attraction will conclude when Snow White is reunited with her animal friends and a shimmering castle is seen in the distance.

the Imagineers will be applying new audio and visual technology, along with new music, more LED black lighting, laser projections, and a new animation system. 

The exterior of the attraction will also be modified to complement the recently refurbished Sleeping Beauty Castle. 

Guests will be able to enjoy Snow White’s Scary Adventures through Jan. 6, 2020.

In addition to Snow White, Indiana Jones is undergoing a $300,000 renovation in 2020. The adventurous thrill ride will be receiving a new bridge and refurbished rockwork according to The OCR. Maybe Imagineers will pull in the crystal skull? Or a surprise character cameo? 

The exact date for the 2020 renovations is currently unknown, but make sure to get a thrill out of the ride while you can!

Not only has the OCR reported Indiana Jones’ new project, but our souce has just been updated with Haunted Mansion scheduling to close on January 21, 2020 due to renovations. So far being the third attraction announced to close in the Disneyland Park. Guests will sure to bring their death certificate after seeing the mansion’s new interior and exterior designs, and viewing the attraction’s updated mechanics. Be sure to enjoy Haunted Mansion for the Holidays!

Last but not least, guests may have already noticed a new look near Tomorrowland. The refurbishment has already begun with the removal of the rock structures near the entrance, replacing it with a temporary grass area

When planning, Imagineers wanted to open up space and improve access to the land. However, it was important to maintain its overall complexion—with trees and beautiful planters. As shown in this rendering, guests will soon be entering Tomorrowland on a widened pathway lined with elliptical planters that are filled with swirls of colorful flowers.
