Ahsoka Tano Teased For ‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’

December 16, 2019Derek Cornell

If you ever watched the animated Star Wars shows, then you probably know Ahsoka Tano. She has appeared in the canon comics, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Star Wars: Rebels. She was once Anakin’s padawan learner but has now become a full fledged master, or at least the sub category.

Ashoka first appeared in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie and the TV series that followed. She has had a very complicated story, along with assertion and heartbreak. As I said before, she was once the padawan of Anakin Skywalker, who himself, wasn’t ready for a learner. As time goes by, the two become inseparable. Later on in the series she was framed for murder and decides to leave the Jedi Order indefinitely.

Fast forward to Star Wars: Rebels, she has grown exponentially in the ways of the force and helps out the Rebel Alliance; however, she hides her identity due to the Jedi being outlawed. As we get further into the series she had believed Anakin had died in the fall of the Jedi; however, she has a vision of Anakin blaming her for his fall to the dark side. She eventually comes to find Anakin, who is now Darth Vader, and duels him. After the events of Rebels not much is know about her whereabouts.

According to SoraNews24 (via StarWars.net) Director J.J. Abrams has teased a potential cameo from the fan favorite character, voiced by Ashley Eckstein. See below for the full interview:

Abrams: By the way, who’s your favorite character?

P.K.: Me? Ahsoka Tano. Sorry for picking someone who only appears in the animated stuff [Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels], but I really like her positive, determined personality.

Abrams: Hmmm, Ahsoka, huh? Well then you’ll probably want to watch closely during The Rise of Skywalker.

P.K.: Wh-whoa-wait-whaaaaaaaaaat?

Abrams: Hahaha, well, enjoy the movie!
