Carl Lumbly Joins The Cast Of ‘The Falcon And The Winter Solider’
Deadline has reported that veteran actor, Carl Lumbly (Doctor Sleep) will join the cast of the upcoming Falcon and the Winter Solider series coming to Disney+.
No word on who he’ll be playing but it is rumored he’ll be playing either Sam Wilson’s father or Isiah Bradley, aka ‘Black Captain America’.
Here’s a brief bio of Isiah Bradley by the trade: The fan-favorite throwback character was introduced in 2003 in the Marvel Comics limited series Truth: Red, White & Black as a super-powered product of clandestine experiments on African-American soldiers. The evocative backstory (depicted with imagery that evoked the infamous, real-world Tuskegee syphilis studies) made Bradley a tragic but noble culture symbol for African-American heroes within the Marvel Universe.
