Clé Bennett Has Joined The Cast Of Marvel’s ‘The Falcon And The Winter Solider’

Earlier today, The Falcon and The Winter Solider star Sebastian Stan released a set picture of the production which features Anthony Mackie, Wyatt Russell, Sebastian and Clé Bennett. Bennett had not previously been announced yet, so his presence there is alarming.

It is rumored that Bennett will be playing Battlestar, aka Lemar Hoskins, which Murphy’s Multiverse previously reported.

Bennett has recently come off of The Man in the High Castle and has been in Jigsaw, The Tick, Homeland and Designated Survivor.

No official word has been said, but we’ll likely see that soon.

Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprise their roles as Sam Wilson “The Falcon” and Bucky Barnes “The Winter Soldier.” Emily VanCamp and Daniel Bruhl also return, VanCamp originated the role of Sharon Carter in Captain America: The Winter Soldier before reprising her part in Civil War. Bruhl returns as Baron Zemo. Wyatt Russell (son of Disney Legend Kurt Russell) is John Walker “U.S. Agent.” Also joining the series in unknown roles are Desmond Chiam, Miki Ishikawa, and Adepero Oduye.

All six episodes of the miniseries, which will air in August 2020, will be directed by Emmy nominee Kari Skogland (The Handmaids Tale, The Punisher), with Derek Kolstad (John Wick) apart of the writing team. There are reports that surfaced that the series could have some sort of massive viral threat, and will introduce the villain turned hero team The Thunderbolts.
