Earlier today, the Walt Disney Company updated its theatrical release schedule, including Marvel Studios projects. One film that was not mentioned in the changes was Ant-Man 3. Well, a new report has surfaced, reassuring us that the film is indeed still in development.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios has tapped writer and producer of Cartoon Network’s popular animated series Rick and Morty, Jeff Loveness to pen the script for the currently untitled third film in the Ant-Man franchise. Loveness reportedly closed his deal before the Hollywood shutdown and has already started writing.

Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed is returning to helm the film, with no current production start date set. Marvel Studios has yet to officially announce the project and likely won’t until Loveness completes the script.
