John Krasinski Reportedly Met With Marvel Studios For Unknown Projects

Back in January, reports surfaced that Emily Blunt (Mary Poppins Returns) had met with marvel studios for a unknown project. Now, thanks to a new report from Geeks WorldWide, her husband John Krasinski (The Office) has also spoke with the studio.

According to the site, Krasinski has taken a virtual meeting with Marvel. The site goes on to say this is likely the first formal meeting between the actor and the studio, and that it is unknown what role it is for whether it’s to star, write, and/or direct, but that a multitude of projects have been discussed.

Like the Emily Blunt report earlier this year it is unknown how far these talks went and if anything will come to fruition, but fans have expressed their desire to see the husband and wife acting to duo to play Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic and Sue Storm aka The Invisible Woman in Marvel Studios Fantastic Four reboot, which as of this report has yet to officially been greenlit, but is said to be in early development.

Blunt is no stranger to the Walt Disney Company as she appeared in 2011’s The Muppets as Miss Piggy’s receptionist, Disney’s Into The Woods as Baker’s Wife, and in 2018, she took over iconic role of Mary Poppins made famous by Julie Andrews 50 years before her in the sequel Mary Poppins Returns. Blunt was originally cast as Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow in Iron Man 2 but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with another project. Blunt will appear alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in Disney’s Jungle Cruise, based on the classic Disneyland attraction, scheduled time hit theater next July.
