Donald Glover Rumored to Reprise as Lando For an Unknown Disney+ Series

Last September, Star Wars Unity reported that Disney was looking at characters from 2018’s now cult hit Solo: A Star Wars Story for a spinoff series for Disney+. The site mentioned characters such as Han, Chewbacca, Lando, and even Crimson Dawn featuring Darth Maul. Now, a new report has surfaced backing up this report.

According to Kessel Run Transmissions, they have learned from their sources that Donald Glover has either signed on or is close to signing on to return as Lando. Kessel Run Transmissions has made quite the name for themselves in the Star Wars scoop business as they previously scooped The Bad Batch before Lucasfilm announced it. So even though we are calling this a rumor for now it should also have some credence.

Solo: A Star Wars Story was met with mixed reactions in theaters, but has met with more and more positive reviews as it has come to streamers Netflix and now Disney+. Last May the hashtag #MakeSolo2Happen started gaining national attention at various entertainment outlets, and even gaining a response from director Ron Howard, and writer Jon Kasdan.

Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han, with Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. Woody Harrelson as Han’s mentor Beckett, the film also stars Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Paul Bettany, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
