Just yesterday, a report from The Direct surfaced that Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series Ms. Marvel had brought on Bad Boys For Life directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah to direct an unknown amount of episodes on the series. Now, the site is bringing us news of our first possible casting on the project.
According to the site, Muslim actors Jasjit Williams (Street Voices) and Saagar Shaikh (Unfair & Ugly) are in talks to join the series.
The site couldn’t confirm who the actors are playing at this time, but have heard Williams would be playing a character by the name of Bruno Carrelli, known in the comics as a tech-savy friend of Kamala Khan’s who is also a potential love interest. As for Shaikh, he could be playing the role of Aamir Khan, Kamala’s older brother.
According to insiders, the role of Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel has already been cast, so though this casting is being classified as a rumor, it is very likely this 100% true.

Her identity as a Pakistani American, living in a religious family in New Jersey whilst trying to find her own way, have been a major focus of the stories. Her powers have been described as polymorphous, meaning she has the ability to stretch and change her shape.
Hulu’s Four Weddings and a Funeral writer, Brisha K. Ali is on board the series’ as a writer and the showrunner. We’ve also heard Captain Marvel directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck will also direct an undisclosed amount of episodes.
It is still unclear when the series will debut on Disney+, but we do know the character will appear on the big screen in an unknown project, which is very likely Captain Marvel 2, tentatively scheduled to hit theaters on July 8, 2022.
