Corbin Bleu is officially returning to the world of High School Musical.
The actor is one of several actors added to the roster for the series’ third season, which is set to begin production later this year. Interestingly enough, he won’t be setting foot back at West Side High.
Instead, he and the four other new cast members: Adrian Lyles, Meg Donnelly (American Housewife), Saylor Bell (Henry Danger), and Jason Earles (American Pie: Band Camp) will appear as a part of the the season’s summertime-set storyline.
Set at Camp Shallow Lake, the next chapter of the High School Musical series will revolve around the Wildcats as they attempt to stage a production of Frozen. In addition to songs from the High School Musical franchise and Frozen, this season will also reportedly feature music from the Camp Rock movies too.
Bleu will play himself, while Lyles will play a mysterious new kid, Bell will play a “techie”, Donnelly will play a counselor-in-training, and Earles will play the director of the camp.
Aside from Bleu, Donnelly and Earles are also Disney alumni, having starred in the Zombies and Hannah Montana franchises respectively.
They join series returning cast members Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Frankie Rodriguez, Kate Reinders, and Olivia Rose Keegan.
Despite being set during the summertime, it’s unclear if this season will be ready in time for this upcoming Summer. Stay tuned for more updates soon!
