We are less than four months away from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and while leaks have been revealed, Marvel Studios has done a great job keeping plot details under wraps. Today, Disney revealed a brand new synopsis that will sure to have fans speculating.
Here’s the new synopsis:
“In Marvel Studios’ ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.”
The allies being referred to are Wong, Christine Palmer, and newcomer America Chavez. I’m sure Doctor Strange will also have new allies, but for now that remains a mystery. As for the mysterious new adversary, that could be anyone’s guess. However, Wanda Maximoff, now the Scarlett Witch, could end up being the adversary, also we got a glimpse of Baron Mordo and the evil Sorcerer Strange, first seen in one last year’s What If…?, they could also present a danger to our heroes.
Watch: The DisInsider Show – Episode Seventy
The film recently completed over six weeks of what is being described as “extensive reshoots.” It is unknown, what the reshoots were intended for, but some of the biggest speculation is that they were to include some new cameos. There are tons of rumors circulating the project when it comes to these cameos, everything from including the X-Men to Ben Affleck’s Daredevil. Now, these aren’t rumors the studio will ever address, but after everything we saw in Spider-Man: No Way Home, nothing is too crazy to be true. Check out the link above for our “Rumor of the Week” on The DisInsider Show (episode 70), as it pertains to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Directed by Sam Raimi, the film also stars Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlberg, Adam Hugill, Yenifer Molina, Bruce Campbell, Laura Dern, and Victoria Stirling.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2022.
