According to Deadline, Disney has just ordered its second scripted series for National Geographic.

The series, titled A Small Light, will be based on the story of the Dutch woman who risked her life to shelter and protect Anne Frank’s family from the Nazi’s during World War II.

Unlike Nat Geo’s previous scripted show, The Right Stuff, A Small Light will be a limited series.

It will revolve around a young twentysomething woman named Miep Gies as she bravely helps her boss, Otto Frank, his family, and several other Jewish people hide in a secret annex as the war plays out.

Gies was actually the one who found Anne’s infamous diary. She kept it safe so that the world could eventually know her story. She passed away in 2010 at the age of 100.

Grey’s Anatomy producers and writers Joan Rater, Tony Phelan, and Susanna Fogel will help bring the story to life under the ABC Signature and Keshet Studios banners.

Casting is already underway, while filming is expected to begin in Europe later this year.
