RUMOR: [SPOILERS] to Appear in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’

*Spoiler alert: This article may contain spoilers for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. While they are rumors, they could potentially be spoilers for the movie. Read at your own risk.*

As the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer opened the door for a trippy world in which *virtually anyone* can show up, scooper MyTimeToShineHello has revealed a few characters that could show up in Sam Raimi’s movie. While none of it is confirmed (except for Patrick Stewart’s Professor X through a voiceover in the trailer), it does add a bit of excitement on who may appear.

Not only will Patrick Stewart’s Professor X appear in the movie, but a slew of surprising characters will as well. According to MTTSH, other characters include Captain Carter (Hayley Atwell), Captain Marvel (a variant played by Lashana Lynch), Mr. Fantastic (John Krasinski), Black Bolt (Anson Mount, reprising his role from ABC’s Inhumans, which would make him the second ABC character to appear in a Marvel Studios film with James D’Arcy’s Edwin Jarvis in Endgame), Clea (Charlize Theron), Balder the Brave, and Magneto.

No actors were specified for the last two characters, but one could assume that Magneto will be played by either Ian McKellen or Michael Fassbender (or someone else?), and I’m throwing my hat in the ring to theorize that Bruce Campbell, a longtime Sam Raimi collaborator, is playing Balder the Brave (though who knows). There are sure to be other cameos as Doctor Strange will be exploring a plethora of universes in the movie, but these are the ones that could (once again, this is a rumor) appear in the movie. Though Professor X, Captain Carter, and a Maria Rambeau Captain Marvel variant will for sure appear, as they were all featured in the film’s promotional material.
