From composer to director?
After months of speculation, it now appears that Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino is making the leap to the director chair. According to prominent insider Daniel RPK, Giacchino will helm the upcoming Werewolf By Night Halloween special.
The character is expected to appearance in the upcoming Moon Knight series first, before then getting his own backdoor special that will most likely lead to future appearance in the MCU.
Production is expected to begin and end next month, in the hopes of having the special turned around by the Halloween.
Gael Garcia Bernal (Coco) will star as the titular Werewolf, who goes by Jack Russell by day. Laura Donnelly (The Nevers) will co-star.
As mentioned before, this is Giacchino’s first foray behind a film camera. Given his talent and relationship with Disney, hopefully it won’t be his last!
