Toys leaks are notorious for revealing new costumes, characters, and even potential plot-lines for films, especially superhero films. Despite actual plot leaks making their way online in the months leading to its release, one reason fans were so skeptical about Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland appearing alongside each other in No Way Home was because, even after toys leaked, it was ultimately revealed that no toys were ever designed for the former two.
While it turned out to just be an uber smart marketing strategy that saved some of the best surprises for fans, it seems like figures for those characters might actually be in development now.
Earlier today, Hasbro posted an interesting message to its Twitter account.
Even though no other details were divulged, the tweet seems to speak for itself.
Next year, it looks like all three Spider-Man be available with brand new, updated action figures featuring their costumes from Spider-Man: No Way Home. Judging by the hashtags, it appears that the figures will be released as a part of Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line.
Now it’s unclear if the villains from the film will also get new figures, but it certainly isn’t outside the realm of possibility.
We’ll continue to monitor this story as more details become available in the coming months.
The news comes just as Spider-Man: No Way Home was finally released physically on DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K Ultra HD this week.
Directed by Watts and starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Benedict Cumberbatch, Marisa Tomei, Alfred Molina, Willem Dafoe, Jamie Foxx, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield.
