‘Doctor Strange’ Sequel Soars Past $500 Million at The Worldwide Box Office

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness continues its box office tear, as the sequel has officially passed $500 million at the worldwide box office.

The Marvel Studios sequel grossed an estimated $12.6 million on Tuesday from 4,534 locations. The estimated total gross now stands at $213.6 million. The film grossed $16.1 million internationally on Tuesday. The estimated international total stands at $294.2 million, with the estimated global total standing at $507.8 million. The Top 10 offshore markets through Tuesday on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are Korea ($32M), the UK ($27.8M), Mexico ($23.8M), Brazil ($17.6M), India ($14.3M), Australia ($13.7M), France ($12.9M), Indonesia ($10.5M), Japan ($10.3M) and Germany ($10.2M).

In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before. Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, with Michael Stühlbarg, and Rachel McAdams. Not to mention, the film is loaded with fun appearances, which we still will not spoil.

The film is directed by Sam Raimi (original Spider-Man trilogy), and Kevin Feige is the producer. Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Eric Hauserman Carroll, Scott Derrickson, and Jamie Christopher serve as executive producers. The screenplay was written by Michael Waldron, who is coming off the hit Disney+ series, Loki, now streaming on Disney+. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is now in theaters.
