Hulu Offering Subscriptions For $1/Month

You read right.

In honor of National Streaming Day, Hulu is offering both new and returning subscribers the chance to pay $1 a month for its basic ad-supported tier.

There is a catch however. The price would only be locked in for the first three months or, if you’re a returning subscriber offered this deal, the next three months. It should also be noted that not every current subscriber has been offered this stellar discount (SO CHECK YOUR EMAIL).

The offer runs until next Friday, May 27th.

But the timing is interesting, considering that the Walt Disney Company announced that it had only netted 300,000 new Hulu subscribers last quarter. That pales in comparison to the 1 million new subscribers that joined ESPN+, so it makes sense that the company would be willing to allow a truly unbelievable bargain.

The deal comes ahead of several highly anticipated platform exclusive releases such as Prey and the second season of Only Murders In The Building.
