“As we’re nearing the end of Phase 4, I think people will start to see where this next saga is going,” Marvel Studios president and chief creative officer, Kevin Feige recently told Total Film.
“I think there have been many clues already, that are at least apparent to me, of where this whole saga is going. But we’ll be a little more direct about that in the coming months, to set a plan, so audiences who want to see the bigger picture can see a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more of the roadmap.”
When can we expect Marvel Studios to reveal more about the future? Well, one obvious answer would be Disney’s D23 Expo in September. On Saturday September 10, filmmakers, celebrity talent, and surprise guests will join representatives from Marvel Studios onstage in Hall D23 at 10 a.m. to showcase theatrical and Disney+ titles, which is expected to include Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Secret Invasion, Werewolf By Night, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Ironheart, Loki S2, The Marvels, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Echo, and more. Attendees will see exclusive footage and be among the first to learn what else is in the works.
The Disney-led expo is likely where the studio will officially announce new projects with updates including Captain America 4, Deadpool 3, Fantastic Four, Shang-Chi 2, Thunderbolts, Wonder Man, and the X-Men, amongst others. Current rumors speculate that the next big event could lead to Secret Wars, which in the comics includes all of Marvel’s properties and characters.
Marvel Studios is also attending San Diego Comic-Con 2022, but will likely reserve big revelations for Disney’s show in September. Another signal is Thor: Love and Thunder on July 8, this could be the time where Feige once again reveals little nuggets during its press run or while asked on the red carpet at the movie’s premiere.
