Rafael Casal, who played Jack Skellington in The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert, has joined the cast of Marvel Studios’ Loki Season 2.
Marvel declined to comment on Casal’s involvement but Deadline was able to confirm his involvement as set photos make their way online. One features Casal walking alongside Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson, who are back, reprising their roles as anti-hero Loki and Mobius, respectively. Details about Casal’s character are being kept under wraps; however, word is he could be playing Zaniac.
Loki is the first Marvel Studios Disney+ series to receive a second season following strong reviews and streaming numbers on Disney+.
Moon Knight directing duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are directing all six episodes. Also returning from season 1 is Sophie Di Martino, who plays Sylvie, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer. It is unknown if Wunmi Mosaku or Jonathan Majors will return as Hunter B-15 and Kang the Conqueror respectively. Michael Waldron returns as writer alongside Eric Martin serving as head writer. Composer Natalie Holt recently confirmed she is returning to score.
Season one of Marvel Studios’ Loki, which is streaming on Disney+, series sees the mercurial villain Loki (Tom Hiddleston) resume his role as the God of Mischief and takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
