It’s true. Fans who were excited to finally see Marvel’s green super-heroine’s series will have to wait a little bit longer.
In a tweet posted on the upcoming Disney+ series’ official Twitter account, the announcement was made that the premiere of Marvel’s She-Hulk would be pushed back from Wednesday August 17th to Thursday August 18th. While you might think this would be a one-time-only change similar to what was done with Obi-Wan Kenobi, it actually looks to be a permanent one.
As you can see, in a subsequent tweet, the account also confirmed that new episodes of the show would be airing every Thursday afterwards.
This isn’t the first series to get pushed back. Earlier this week, it was announced that Andor would be delayed three weeks. Instead of premiering August 31st, the show will now debut on Disney+ on September 21st. While it’s unclear why Andor was delayed, we believe one of the reasons for She-Hulk‘s minor move is so that the two don’t overlap like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ms. Marvel did.

She-Hulk, Attorney At Law will follow Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters as she juggles being a lawyer and a superhero with powers similar to The Hulk. In the comics, Walters develops superhuman strength and transforms into a milder version of The Hulk after receiving a blood transfusion from Bruce Banner, her cousin. It remains to be seen whether or not the show will follow that storyline, or if it will introduce Maslany’s character post-procedure.
In addition to Maslany. Mark Ruffalo and Tim Roth will reprise their role as the Hulk and Abomination respectively. The series will also star Ginger Gonzaga (Space Force), Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton), Josh Segarra (Arrow), and Jon Bass (Baywatch).
Kat Coiro will direct episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, and 9, while Anu Valia will direct episode 5, 6, and 7. Jessica Gao (Rick and Morty) will serve as the series’ sole writer.
