Oscar Isaac Open to a Star Wars Return

Oscar Isaac made quite the introduction this year in Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight. However, Disney fans were first introduced to the actor in the Star Wars sequel trilogy as Poe Dameron.

The sequel trilogy has been mixed amongst the fans and critics. Some of the harsher reactions took a bit of a toll on Isaac and his fellow co-stars Daisy Ridley and John Boyega. This led many to believe that the trio would never return for future Star Wars projects. Well, according to Isaac he is open to it.

While on The Jess Cagle Show on SiriusXM, Isaac shared his thoughts on if he asked to return. “…If there was a great story and a great director, and Kathy [Kennedy] came to me and was like, ‘Hey, we’ve got this idea,’ you know, I’m so, so open to it.”

Isaac portrayed Resistance pilot Poe Dameron in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens and Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi. He voiced the character on the animated show Star Wars Resistance before reprising his role for the final time in Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. Each Star Wars film he led grossed at least $1 billion at the worldwide box office.

While we wait for Oscar Isaac to return, or not return to Star Wars, the actor has been busy teasing the second season of Moon Knight, which could get an official announcement at Disney’s D23 Expo next month. You can check all the Star Wars projects Isaac is a part of, as well as Moon Knight on Disney+ now.
