First Look at ‘Percy Jackson And The Olympians’ Released

It’s a very special day for a very special demigod. Disney+ has released the first look at the upcoming series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, which is currently in production. The image features series stars Walker Scobell, Aryan Simhadri, and Leah Sava Jeffries.

The live action series tells the fantastical story of a 12-year-old modern demigod, Percy Jackson, who’s just coming to terms with his newfound supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his master lightning bolt. Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus.

If further seasons are greenlit, the five seasons, will see each season serving as an adaptation of a book in the series.

The series also stars Jason Mantzoukas (Big Mouth), Megan Mullally (Will & Grace), Virginia Kull (The Big Bend), Glynn Turman (Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom), Timm Sharp (Blunt Talk), Olivia Morton, Dior Goodjohn, and Charlie Bushnell. Rick Riordan, Steinberg, Shotz, and Bobin will serve as executive producers along with Rebecca Riordan, Bert Salke, Monica Owusu-Breen, Jim Rowe, and Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, and D.J. Goldberg.

The series is expected to hit Disney+ in 2024.
